SMALLVILLE... RIP 16/10/2001 - 13/05/2011 :(

First off, I do not support or actively participate in *SPOILERS* unless people request for it. ESPECIALLY with TV-Shows, *SPOILERS* are a no-no and hence, this blog post will contain none, except cold hard facts about the mild-mannered, hay bucking Clark Kent A.K.A The Man of Steel A.K.A Superman :)

It's finally happened. My favourite show of all-time has reached the end of the line after 10 enjoyable years of blessing everyone with its awesomeness. It's important that all readers of my blog and this post know JUST how much this show means to me, JUST how much I liked it and I dare say, its influence on my life:

I got into this show when one of my best friends (even to this day) Tim sat next to me in the Physics laboratory and casually asked "Do you watch Smallville?" I looked at him strangely and replied with a question "What the heck is that?" The year was 2006. I was young, fresh to death and looking for a show to sink my teeth into for the first time. My friend Tim hooked me up with the first four seasons on DVD and said for me to watch them and enjoy, he winked and said I would like it forsure, it was to do with Superman...

So I began to watch this show... Smallville. And holy shit was it amazing! After the Pilot episode I was hooked, bigtime! So hooked, it was all I could think about at school, after school I would sometimes abandon my favourite Counter Strike : Source (CSS) and watch it, forgetting about homework, babes and the chores my dad always mananged to find for me.

Kks.
FAST FORWARD to the year of 2011.
Late 2010, my daddyo comes up to me and asks me what happened to me watching Smallville. I stopped and had a good, long and hard think about it. Finally I found the answer and replied with "I don't know actually." But see, the real answer to WHY I stopped watching this magnificent show was because it stopped showing over here in the West. And it was an exciting time in my life, I had things to do everyday, parties to rock out to every weekend, babes and friends to text and Bebo on most every weekday... Eventually Smallville just fell of my THINGS-TO-DO-LIST and began collecting dust....

But it was my father who got me back into it. He became an avid fan around 2007 when I got him into it. We used to watch episodes together, real cool father & son bonding shizznit right there beleive you me :). And when my Dad said the show was on its final season (being 10)... I sparked into action. I just had to get my hands on every episode of that show to date and indulge in it one last time.

And that, ladies and gentlemen is EXACTLY what I did. From the humble Season 1 to the final, illustrious  Season 10, I have watched every episode SMALLVILLE produced. And GREAT SCOTT! It has been AWESOME watching it again. It became my addiction again. Episode after episode, I just loved to keep watching. This shows has it all! Yes, with ANY show some episodes got dry at times, but it always stabilized the ship and brought the quality back on!

Look, I could write about and talk about Smallville til the cows come home. Let me just say... There is a REASON (actually many) why this show is rightfully cemented as my FAVOURITE TV-SHOW OF ALL-TIME! And I strongly urge you to get your hands on all the available seasons and watch it! Let it take you on a wondrous ride that many shows will try to do and will most definitely uber fail at.

SMALLVILLE... Thankyou!
For the 218 amazing episodes produced from its debut date of October 16, 2001 to the final episode of May 13, 2011.
I can't wait to watch this show with my wife, kids and family, X years down the track :)
KUDOS & SALUTE!

Signing off with a quote that defines the show:
"a HERO is made in the moment,
not from questioning the past or fearing what's to come."
